A source says, "I'm not sure whether her people approached 'Idol,' or if it was the other way around." Also the source added that Simpson is only one of a dozen candidates for Idol's 10th season.
The source also said, "The network's dream scenario would be to make a splashy announcement at TCA on Monday morning." So, by Monday we might know who will replace Cowell?
There were also other names surfacing like Justin Timberlake and Elton John, who had meetings with Idol producers a few months ago.
Ehh... i'm not sure if i'm going to tune in this season.
